Work Package #7: Course Extension to schema.org

As indicated by purcolating notes on course, there has been discussion over a long period indicating the desirability of terms in schema.org to address educational courses. This work packages aims to address that issue.

See schema.org github issue on courses for a the current discusion thread, and see also the initial proposal, with subsequent comments & edits (Google doc).

Outline plan of action

1. Describe and agree scope and use cases. Extract requirements.
2. Survey existing vocabularies
3. look at existing web pages describing courses to see how requirements are met. Is the data there?
4. adapt proposal as necessary in light of requirements and potential data supply
5. create example instances and test custom search
6. when tested, submit to schema
